Had my first crash last night

I went into the back of someone last nite. I was travelling behind a van, only going about 25mph because the traffic was quite bad when a black Escort pulled out on the van, he went into the back of that, I went into him and the car behind me was about 5" from going into me. The Escort just sped off and didnt stop.

Luckily there isn't no real damage it just pulled my number plate off and cracked it and scrapped all the paint work under my bumper.

Well I am getting it colour coded when I can afford it (hopefully soon) so I will get them to touch it all up.

I can't believe the Escort just drove off, probably no insurance or somthing.

Yeah, the stopping distance would be dramatically reduced because he came to a complete stop quicker than if he's just braked.

stopping distance is a load of bullshit, what if someone in front has got massive brakes which reduces stopping distance and someone behind has standard brakes and they both slam brakes on.... standard car will go into back of the other car.....

But its true, the van came to a stop really quick, if it had just braked and you went into back you would be at fault.

i mean like a 182 trying to catch me in the hybrid, we was gunning for it and because i could stop from 140-0 in the time it takes to drop a pin he nearly went into back of me so i had accelerate out his way lol otherwise id have had a 182 stainup my arse
