Finally got my coilovers set up when the lad doing them had some time to spare.
He used to work for a Clio cup team, and recently set up and raced an EP3 CTR in the Britcar 24hour and came 6th overall!!!
Anyways, equipped ith 2 fishing poles, fishing wire, 4 axle stands, a jack, and some spanners/sockets he set to work.
My H&R's have been modified for fully adjustable camber (can get upto -ve 7 degrees on them haha!) so was an easy job to do. My guesswork of getting it even on each side set them at -1.5 and -1.4 which I was quite impressed with! But the steering was slightly out and the toe-in needed sorting badly.
In a little over an hour he had finished, set the camber to -ve 2.5 which he said would be spot on for my use (as many track days as possible but day to day use) toe in was set to what he thought and i forgot to ask what!
Tracking and allignment was set perfectly too.
Went for a blast once done, and man what a difference! Turn in was 10 times better again, drove 100% straight etc, soooooo impressed!
It's a bit rubbish on the motorway for tramlining etc, but as I only go on those type of roads once in a blue moon it doesnt bother me at all.
As of Friday it will be 100% set up and ready for my first trackday a week tomorrow, with all of my bits fitted and set properly, soo excited!
