Halfords head unit fitting

  Clio Expression 1.2 16V
If Halfords fit your cd player which you buy there do they rig it up to the stalk controls etc aswell? no extra charge.

the fitting is £40 which i would never even think about but some head units have halfprice fitting or free fitting so it would be worth thinking about in that case :)

Be sure and factor in the obligatory adapter leads etc that they insist you'll need :D Before you know it you'll have paid far more than you intended.

Going into your clio?

pull old out, unplug, push new one in, PLINK!

what make stereo you sticking in...sony?

to have the display and stalk working with aftermarket headunit will cost you £35 in parts alone and no doubt they will charge fitting (even though its a small job). they will also tell you, you need an aerial adapter (which you will) about £5 from halfords...£2 of ebay.

really easy to fit a headunit yourself..i wouldnt pay halfords to do it tbh

yeah i was just wondering if say for half price fitting that would include the adapter leads and stuff which are 30 quid anyways.

im looking at this kenwood unit... its plain and simple but has mp3 cd support and a input so i can use the ipod :)

anyone help me then what else do i need to buy, i will be fitting it myself :)

pretty sure autoleads one just plugs intbh, its pretty similar to incartec system although by all accounts not as good.

incartec from car audio direct is highly regarded tbh

just a quick question , does anyone know what you get on the remote display with the incartec ones ? for example do you get the radio station names as you do with the standard head unit ? :dapprove:

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
nope you dont unless you have a sony radio, but even then you have to buy a sony lead which if i remember right is about £100.

Otherwise on the incartec ones it just says your headunit make eg kenwood, jvc etc normally and then when you use the stalk it will say vol up if turning vol up etc

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
all that looks spot on mate. you dont need "ISO multifit wiring adaptor" as your cars wiring is already wired to iso standard so should be a straight swap with the kenwood.

as for a short aux cable do you mean one with a headphone adapter on one end and red/white rca at the other end? if so try maplins/woolworths or ebay.

dont forget to enter the free postage code i provided for car audio direct, you enter it in the promotional code box when ordering.

Discount Code (case sensitive) : 7e6e57

WILL SAVE YOU ALMOST £15 IN DELIVERY CHARGES!!!!
