Handbrake

just had my clio go through it's MOT and it only just passed on the handbrake...i've got limit knowledge of the working of car's. is it possible for me to tighten/adjust the handbrake so its tighter myself? whats the best way of doing it? or is it easier just to get a garage to do it

IIRC it should be self adjusting.

Mine is bugger too though.

Strip your rear drums and check the tensioners etc.
