I'm sure most people know this, but I keep forgetting about it. It may work for other models, but I guess it depends on which alarm you have fitted. Mine has the Renault Compact 7895 Clio alarm fitted.
To disable the the ultrasonic sensors inside the cabin, simply turn the ignition on and off twice (in less than 7 seconds) and then get out and lock the car as normal.
You should hear four beeps if you've done it right.
This only disables the ultrasonic volumetric sensors inside the car. The rest of the alarm is armed as normal.
Handy for leaving your windows open in the hot weather.
