Well its been 3 weeks now since I brought my Clio 172

And all I can say is I absolutly love it......It`s handling is amazing, and its so comfortable to drive. Its only sitting on Apexi springs which tbh when driving slow it does feel every bump in the road...but when you drive it at speed it feels so planted.

I`m really looking forward to my first track day at Donnington at the end of November.

I`v got some rubber on order, then once the track day is out the way then I`ll start to upgrade/mod the car.

All round Brembos....and new pads..proberly yellow stuff or Ferodo 2500....then sort out rear ARB and full polybush.

Do you think the above MODS are ok for track use??

Really? It's reflective and has the cutout at the bottom. :S

You sure?? I believe that's the correct windscreen for a non cup 172

check with Renault Wolverhampton, but i'm pretty sure you have to have the "cup" edition windscreen trim (cos its got a spoiler innit!)

WOW...I can not belive a windscreen can cause such concern for you guys??

What is actually the problem with it?

Is it not the correct one??

Will it fall out when I`m driving round the track??

Perhaps the other questions I asked don`t matter as long as the windscreen is sorted first!!!!

It that is indeed the wrong windscreen then we can deduce that.....

It has been written off at some point
The belts were done by a numpty and the timing is off
You bought a dog and it will only make 130hp
It will self destruct imminently
The owner skipped on maintenance
It is probably stolen

delete as appropriate

People on here don't seem to rate yellowstuff as highly as 2500 pads. Most on here would also say ditch the Apex for some Cooksports or Sportlines.

Ive heared bad things about the apex ride quality, i also have them and tbh i dont think they are much harder than the cup pack ones at all, they give a very nice stance and ive had no problems with them at all.

Dont mind the Apex springs as It handles really well and feels good at speed....abit hard on normal roads and at low speed, but primarly bought it for track use any way.
