Heard of loads of 197 valves dropping, no stronger than normal.

Stick a set of supertech in or similar aftermarket valves if you want a better setup.

I have never seen a Clio 3 with drooped valves even when seriously over-revved in race and Rallys over here. Some so severe that the flywheel bolts broke off.

In the Clio 2 those kind of over revs would be death sentence straight away.

In the Clio 2 those kind of over revs would be death sentence straight away.
I have seen at least 3 in my local renaultsport specialist garage with dropped valves. No idea on cause but it does happen.

I would listen to Brigsy.

I know of 3 197’s which have dropped valves just amongst my group of friends alone.

So more valver bits going in the bin and more 172 bits being fitted shafts and hubs gone replaced with 172 ph1 shafts and 172 hubs machined down to fit the mk1 coil overs and shims to allow the use of the mk1 bolts

So it’s come time to ditch the tiny exhaust the cup racer came with in favour of a much more free flowing 2.5 inch group n oreca exhaust only problem being is that they are quite loud only having a back box. so I chopped out some of the middle and added in a box then, removed the front of the exhaust then replaced it with a cut down 182 scorpion decat this will mate with the manifold perfect and requires no welding
