harness mounting help?

  a low one
Hey guys, been pondering over this and im stuck for ideas tbh, most people bolt the harness down or put the eyelet through a seat subframe mount but my bucket seats have a mount that uses the existing mounting points so im now not sure where to put the harness on the inner side ( handbrake ).

can i simply just drill a hole further back in the exhaust tunnel and use a stress plate underneath?

Help much appreciated, cheers!

The harness mountings are supposed to spaced no wider than your hips believe it or not. They are also meant to be within a certain angle range. They will f**k you up worse than a drive by if your in a accident and they're not mounted correctly mate.

Look at the mounting point here and this is a cup racer car.
It's way more than hip width.

Yeah fair point mate. I'm only going off the fitting instructions that came with my schroth harnesses. They were pretty specific about how the lap, shoulder and crutch strap should be positioned so I just did as it said. I looked on the net for any info I could find regards mounting harnesses and everything I found was either different or similar to what schroth state! lol! Work that out!

My Schroth instructions say that you need to fit the lower harness to the original mounting points.
