Can i just say Happy New Year to all of you that are not on our Facebook group! (Why aren't you ? https://www.facebook.com/groups/ClioNorthEast/)

For the first one of 2013 im proposing we all have a nice run up to Hartside Café.

In my opinion... The drive to Hartside Café is nothing short of brilliant. Twisty roads with long straights at times. Stunning photo opportunities. Brilliant views.[/TD]

So, brilliant day. I want to have a better one with all of you!

So, Sunday the 3rd of February is what im proposing.

We have always met at Durham Services so i think ill stick with this location again. http://www.motorwayservices.info/durham_services_a1_m

The time to be at Durham Services will be 10.30 AM! Please try and get there on time, the earlier the better! We will be leaving the services cirsa 11 AM.

If anyone has a preferred route ill listen to your opinions and confirm it the week before the meet. I know the likes of BlackGold and Piers. have drove up there more recently than me so might be able to give us some tips.

If you have never done a driving meet before please get yourself along to this as its probably the best one you could come to. It doesn't matter if have a 1.2 8V. We don't raceas some might think. We have a good drive and a good chat and that is what makes these days so fun.


As always, you can meet in small groups then drive to Durham Services. Talk amongst yourselves.

I think thats it. I hope to see all your names on the list and that you actually turn up!

I'll have to gut her out and shine her up first like! Fat chance if this snow hits :(

I'm prepared to be shown up with all those sports going ;) ha. Me in my 16v 1.2 of slowness. Glides like a flipped turtle! :)
 
Just realised theres no chance i can go... Lost a pissing wheel trim last night! Looks like a goon mobile, gutted :(

Yeah I've not met anyone yet, will be a First. First impressions count, what will everyone think if I turn up with only 3 trims attached to my wheels! Haha... I really am devastated.. My 2nd set in like 6 months..

Which car you driving up in then Ali??
 
My fiesta as I can't see the clio or 106 been done :,( the clio only needs a coilpack and leads to run so might just take it out multi coloured.
 
Make sure after you stop at hartside and have had your scran to follow past and down towards penrith for about 10 miles instead of turning round at the cafe. That part of the road is made specifically for clio's iirc (piers)

might pop up with piers and co

Mate, it doesnt matter if you have a reliant robin. We are all mates and none of us bite. Just come along for the banter if anything!

Just checked with my owners (work) and they say that I can be spared on that day. So I'm in, it's a big big YES!
 
I know ya's don't bite haha, just... First impressions count, need her looking her best! :D looking forward to this like. Depending on how far I go past the cafe depends on funds towards end of the month, just split up with the gf so had all the final bills to pay off... Quickest 1k ive ever spent lmao...
 
Il most likely pop up to meet you all at Hartside :) But as Jamie says, it's a must to go past Hartside Cafe and head to Penrith for about 10miles, then turn round & come back. That part is the best bit - I promise.

Il try n bring the local Clio gang along too, as I'm sure they will be more than game ;)

Maybe you could lead us from the cafe mate?

I've only been over that side once I think and that's when I had my 1.4.
 
yeah down the other side and back up is awesome, may pop along to this but will more than likely meets you's at the cafe as il be setting off earlier so its abit quieter for the run up
 
Sam if you need anyone to show you the way I'll be coming in the saxo, was up hartside and down to penrith last night in the snow...it was entertaining

Let me start at the front then as it hasnt got the power to overtake clio's up hills haha, it's a beast through hartside though, never took it down the penrith side as when I went up it had been snowing and didnt fancy locking up
 
I'll try get my mate along in his 174bhp ax vts that weighs 700kg its a absolute rocketship and always good for a giggle lol.
 
Ill being me camera fella , fancy meeting some wer Sam ? Ill c if Chris won't to meet up as well . Think ill keep the decay on till this run out ha ha
