Has anyone used Chips Away??

As I have a dent in my door and was wondering if they are any good?

the one in west yorks let me down in a bad way. Took two weeks to tell me he couldn't make a scheduled appointment, re-arranged for a week later, then told me 5 mins before he was due to turn up that he couldn't do the job!!!

fecking git. wasted 3 weeks - i've subsequently had to cancel my permagard top up for another month.

I've used one in the Northants area a few years back on my 172 Cup and I was extremely happy with the service.

Problem is none of this actually helps you as you need to know about the "dealer" in your area.

yeh they're a franchise outfit so the quality will vary dramatically.

my mate had it done and they sprayed half of his mg zr in the complete wrong shade of black.( looked more like matt black) he got his money back and got it sprayed again somwhere else.

I got them out for a quote, was something like 180 quid to get a half inch scratch out of my door so fucked em off and went with someone local who did it for fifty quid.

Cheers guys! I went over there as they couldn't tell me over the phone how much it would cost..even though I told them that it was definatly a PDR job.
Got there and they quoted me £85 + vat so just under £100...which was a fixed price...errr why couldn't they tell me that over the phone!!??
So phoned round a few more places and got it booked in at Mini Me dent removal and its only £50 all inclusive and I dont pay till im happy with the job...customer service was excellent too.

I know a guy from Kent who works for chipsaway...nice guy but would only trust him on "chips and scuffs"

guy down our street who is a mate of mine used to have a franchise in them, not sure if he still does as hes now doing detailing, wheel refurb etc. excellent quality work from what ive seen. recommended
