Temperature gauage has started to wiggle about abit, when rolling down hill can see it dropping, only about 2 nothces.

When i did a track day while back i must have cooked something, because harder i accelerated the gauage went right down!

sounds more like a fault with the temp sensor or related wiring. Either that or you're really low on water or have a huge airlock

when it's the watertemp sensor and it keeps playing up then it will eventually also make the car run a lot worse. The ecu will think for example it is still running cold and limit the revs , like mine always does a bit of kangaroo-ing when on cold.

I've heard/seen cases where the tempsensor was faulty and the car ran like when cold , bit of spluttering etc.

Car has twice not let me go over 2800 revs when cold, just dies.
