Wonder if anyone has ever used their flat tyre foam spray, i am taking my new 182 to cormnwall this weekend, and dont have any of the cans! so wondering if i should go to reno on the way to get some, or just rely on the RAC, will they fit a new tire there and then or take me to a garage to be fitted in the morning?

They will try and get hold of a tyre for you most probably, but you will have to pay all the costs involved with getting hold of and fitting the new tyre. Unless there is nowhere open in which case depending on the cover you have they will either tow you 10 miles or wherever you want to go.

personally i'd get some before i set off, just to be on the safe side.

I think i have a can of tire Weld, but you need two, and they are abou 12 quid each, so if they aint the right stuff its a bit of a waste, i might stop into Renault SLough on the way and try to get some.

I have the top package on RAC, but ultimatly i think i want to carry a spare wheel in the boot, just a peace of mind, and why is it that we normally have a spare wheel on our cars but no other spare parts, i allways used to carry some Water, strong tape for any hoses etc, and an emegency fan belt, but then again i was driving an old mini!

Yeah although i dont pay for my RAC covser, i get it free form tescco vouchers so im not too worried about my discount.

i think i will get a spare wheel, or how much is one alloy do you reckon? 182 with cup pack wheels.

You can just pop into halfords and get replacement cans of the stuff! Might not be exactly the same stuff as a what Renault supply but its all the same.

ive got some from halfords in my boot too , even tho i have a spare wheel , just to be on the safe side

I wouldn't use it!! The tyre cant be used again when the foam has been put into it!!

I'd rather hassle the AA to come and tow the car and have the tyre fixed!

just a btw, can you get a steel spacesaver for the 172? like a laguna one or something maybe? my alloys too heavy in my light little cup!

lol, why waste money buying the "official" stuff from renault, it wont differ from one brand to the next its all the same s**t, better still why not get your tires filled with that stuff that seals a hole instantly if you get a puncture, iir £5 per corner
