Head Gasket stuff?

Do I need this paste I have heard about? The stuff that needs rollering onto the block or can i just fit the head gasket?
I'm Planning to do it today.

You need high temp silicone for sealing the rocker cover. Do you have all the required tools?

yes i believe so, I got everything apart just fine.
so has the head gaskett not got a sealant?

headgasket - goes between the block and head - no sealant

rocker cover - holds cams in place - silicone

Yeah sounds normal then. just wanted to check, but thought i saw that people were putting sealant on the H/gasket.
