Head Gasket?

  Renault Clio MK4 RS
Hi all,

Was checking my oil lastnight and when i undone the oil cap and looked in it this was here.

Some people have said its the head gasket going. Others say just condensation due to it being winter and it being normal on 1.2s.

Im asking from other people with clios to see if they would know whether it is condensation or head gasket. Ive checked the coolant levels and its still high so if it was the head gasket going I would say its just starting. Also when checking the dipstick there wasnt any 'Mayo effect' on it.

Heres a pic to show you what its like.

My 1.2 Dynamique does this during the Winter months mate. (It's a different engine - 16v version but the same principal applies)

Go for a decent long drive; get the engine nice and hot, this should evaporate the condensation and leave no 'mayo' around the cap :)
