Head unit - has power but no sound???

Please help!

The HU powers on and off but there is no sound.

I've tried pressing all of the buttons but there is no sound at all.

Is there meant to be a display to tell me what radio station I'm listening to? I ssume it's meant to where the clock is????

Me too put new door speakers in with an alpine head unit and its comes on and goes off, head unit worked fine with standard speakers, just wondering where the dodgy connection could be ?

ive had this problems before aswell.

have you recently just plugged the HU in? check if no wires have been disconnected

sometimes wires need swapping as some systems work differently to others?

standard unit?aftermarket?does it power up when you have the key in or without?
