Head Unit Problem

Righty,

Fitted my old HU to my new car yesterday, all pluged in fine, and was working with no probs..

However, after the stereo had been playing for about 10 minutes, the amp cut out. i.e. The head unit is still playing, but no output is reaching the speakers.. Turn the HU off, and turn it on again and it works again.

Now - I know a little about Hi-Fi, so I would think its some kind of protection cutting in to protect the amp, as if the speakers were wired with the wrong polarity or something, but theyre all wired fine..

Any other ideas on what it could be? Dodgy power supply maybe? Though I imagine that would mean the whole HU would stop working?

Cheers,

Ben

Amp getting too hot? Loose connection somewhere, faulty speakers?

Theres a whole load of things to check!

I think its got to be something wrong with the loom, as all components worked just fine in my old car..

Any other ideas?
