Headlamp aim so that beam "kick up" is not visible on the screen

Hi all!

Took my car for the MOT today (1.2 16V Clio - 2005) - and got these failures:

• Offside Front Headlamp aim so that beam "kick up" is not visible on the screen (4.1.2 (a))

• Nearside Front Headlamp aim so that beam "kick up" is not visible on the screen (4.1.2 (a))

I know what kick beam is, but how do i fix the problem? New bulbs? New headlight assemblies?

Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

The headlight just needs adjusting, get the tester to do it for the sake of 5 minutes of his time.

Tbh the fact that both are pointing that far left would suggest to me the tester didn't align the beam setter correctly in the first place.

anyway just take it back and ask him to adjust it for you.

Bulbs fitted by Halfords by any chance?

Not sure how replacing bulbs would affect the alignment??

Unless they're not clipped back in properly and just rattling around.

Halfords are classics for fitting bulbs upside down and just generally cocking up.
