Headlamp bulbs

I've seen these bulbs https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16358&cat=607&page=1 and I'm wondering if they're worth getting, also there are 80W bulbs available. I've had one of mine go, so thought I'd upgrade them, but not sure whether to go for these or just get some Phillips or Osram bulbs. I'm not fussed on whether a blue tint or not, just want the best bulbs as I drive a lot at night

If you increase the power output you also increase the heat output (simple physics) and as the reflectors are made of chromate discharged plastic .... you know where I am going...

The other thing to watch is the wiring and terminals are not rated for 100w lamps and the fuses will need uprating also. 12v 55w = 4.6 amps..against 12v 100w = 8.4 amps so you can see you are increasing the demand on the wiring by almost 100%

I saw a car where this "simple" upgrade had been done and the wires were like burnt toast, and the lamp holders were well done also.

Try some good quality xenon lamps at standard ratings and keep your headlights clean.
