Headlight flickering

My near side headlight is flicking off and
On then goes off completely after a while. But if I turn all my lights off then on again it come back on and starts to do the same.

What could this be?? The bulb?

Could be the wrong bulb or dodgey connection? Is it connected properly and not loose?

I have had them about 5 month took it out today and the plastic had melted on the metal connection

What did you do to resolve this? Mine is having a similar problem now! Wasn't working at all, changed the ballast and now it works but after time it flickers until it goes off.
