A few months ago, I bought a second hand Xenon drivers headlight and unfortunately it arrived damaged. The bulb had been left in and this must have taken a knock somewhere on route and it snapped the white plastic adjustment mechanism (horizontal). Unhelpfully, both parcelforce and royal mail are denying liability because it's a car part, despite the seller being told it was insured up to £100 when posting it.
The seller still has the passenger headlight and I'm wondering if I'd be able to take both of them apart and move the adjuster mechanism from the passenger side to the drivers side. Does anyone know if this is possible or whether it' a mirror image of the drivers side and as such, won't fit?
Any ideas on how to get it fixed would be much appreciated, I'm reluctant to take apart my existing headlight (with a cracked surround so it's only held on by 1.5 bolts) as if the swap doesn't go as planned, I could end up with no headlight and the car being off the road.
