Headlight washers keep going AWOL

  Focus ST3 + proper Mini

Noticed this morning that my passenger side washer has gone AWOL. Only just had the drivers side one replaced last week!!

Anyone know how I can keep hold of them a bit longer??

Cheers

Dont use them.. thats about it.. or you could disconnect them.. but then they may just fall out anyway, just one of those things I guess. I have only had 1 go AWOL, I just popped another one in the old holder and its been there for about 8 months now..

they are only £5 each but it can prove expensive if they keep going missing.

Im having a new one fitted next week under warranty, according to someone on here (sorry Im crap with names and dont have time to find the link), that there was a fault on some of the washers, and they replace the whole thing which fixes the problem. I guess Id have to let you know if it does sort it.

Looks like renault just poped a new ball in, on the driverside one which was replaced last week.

Done under warrenty, but just the hassle of going to renualt. 40 mile round trip. Think Ill wait a bit. the other side may fall out next week!!

when the ball pops out which it hasnt done on mine, does that mean all the fluid leaks out and you quickly have an empty washer bottle?

This is a very common fault at this time of the year - the water expands when it freezes causing the seal to break - Renault are aware of the problem.

yeah just wondered if when the ball pops out of the stalk does all the water leak out or is the ball not the part that keeps the water in?
