Headlights

On the 172 the drivers front of headlight is very scratched i dont think it will Polish out. Do i have to replace the whole unit? Or can i just get the plastic bit on top of it replaced (pretty sure this may damage the xenon)

The headlights are sealed units.
You can seperate the lens from the casing but this involves heating up the unit until the glue softens and you can pull it apart.

So if i seperate the lens then the seal would be broken? Poss damaging the headlight

£240 inc VAT from Renualt, will these still fit my car? I remember reading somewhere that they dont work
