Headunit Fitment help needed..

Ok, ive just purchased an alpine ida-x100 HU off magicman and ive fitted today. The problem im having is, there isnt much room for the mass of cables behind this headunit, ive had to force it in slightly. My other problem, is this HU comes with steering wheel connectivity, so i have bought the relevant cables from halfrauds but need to get the clock. How does the centre console come out, any guides? Ive also mounted a bluetooth unit in the glove, with a 2cm hole carrying the cable to the HU, what is the best route to carry a mic to my side? Your help is appreciated...

have you got a Haynes manual, as that describes dash/console removal (although you shouldn't need to remove the centre console)

none of it's particularly difficult and i think there are guides on here somewhere if you've not a manual

you need to take the top of the dash off to fit the Autoleads steeringwheel controls (assuming those are the ones you've bought from Halfords). you can rearrange the wiring behind the HU whilst it's off

you wont need to acess the clock the only thing you should need is some form of control ox and a fitment for the original yellow block plug. to get all the cables in mmin i fiitted the cage for the HU after stuffing wires as there is lots of room underneath.

you don't need to be able to get at the clock with some of them, but that one you do. taking the top of the dash off isn't a big job:)

Really? How would yours connect then? To be honest, after my stereo arrived today i went to halfords for some removal pins and seen them and assumed they were the same...and bought them because im impatient...

i do want speakers from you though, just gotta sell my HU first....

they were the ones i discussed, plug and play,no dash removal required, just plugs in to the stalk adapter loom behind the radio
