Afternoon all! I did have a quick search on this topic but I didn't find anything concrete (and within the last few years).
So after realising that the cams I have to go in my engine build are not compatible with the standard valve springs I have resigned to the idea of removing the hard from the engine, not part of my original plan but oh well. I am wondering now, since the head is off and I will have stripped it down, should I consider getting some headwork done? Also are there other things worth doing "whilst it's already off".
The Engine and mods:
Things that might be worth doing
If I were to go down the route of port and polish (or what ever the latest term for it is), is there any go to place that are known for working on these engines? I have seen the name ALD thrown around but the threads are very old and some mention a "horror story" but doesn't provide anymore detail than that.
