heat wrap on a manifold

  williams 2 turbo
ive got a 4-2-1 manifold going on a willy engine, thats going in the valver, just wondering if it is worth covering it in heat wrap stuff first, i have heard it will lower engine bay temps, but as ive never used it before i thought id ask you lot.

cheers steve

dont bother.

Doesnt do much and i've seen them catch fire far to many times.

It rots and turns rank.

Not worth the hassle of wrapping and the cost.

If your really into reducing heat, just get it ceramic coated for the same cost.
