Heater fan not working

I’m having a problem with my heater fan.

First of all it was just in all the time which I think is a failed resistor pack

I changed the resistor pack for an used unknown one and it didn’t work so I bought a new one off eBay and this still isn’t working at all

I’ve tried a spare switch panel Inside the car and that didn’t make any difference either

If I refit the original resistor pack it works again constantly

Any ideas ?

Trying to understand this a little better,
So the original issue wasn't that it didn't work, it was that the fan stayed on 100%? no matter what speed the switch was at?

Is it Climate control or manual heating?

Yes it was on constantly. It’s a manual control
