So I think I've the dreaded mashed gear in my ph1 heater controls. The temperature control does very little - thankfully unlike the old fiesta - this is stuck on hot so it could be worse.
I've seen various things about putting a jubilee clip or cable tie around the gear in question however i'm not sure how to get access to this or if they're all in the same place on various models of clio.
If i reach a hand up under the controls, when the temperature is changed i can feel an arm moving or something however it seems to only adjust the range when you move into the cold zone - it must be able to engage the gear then.
Unfortunately then when turned back up, it doesnt always catch and the dial moves so you can turn it up and up or down and down, depending on how it feels that particular day...
Can anyone advise? I'd appreciate it very much!
