Heatsheild removal

I removed my heatsheild from behind my manifold over the weekend because it look s**t. It looks so much better now but is this ok to do?

Hmm i do have heatwrapped mani so not as bad as standard. Smells abit now its off though but i did spill somethin on my heatwrap lol. May get some of that sticky heatsheild and just use it on my brake lines. Ive just got home from work and touched all the pipes etc and they wernt that bad, just warm really

Really, ive only done it really as see alot of pics on here without it so though y not :S

Iirc Danny r done that and his car went up in flames I'd put a heat shield on it

Yea I left the carpet bit on but took off the silver bit that came un stuck from the carpet, my car caught fire a few hours later as the carpet got so hot!

Heat your brake lines up nicely too, not a lot of air gets into that part!

I'd put it back on!

I ripped it taking it off lol, i used to run my valver with heatwrapped mani and no heatsheild with no issue so thought the same for this. I think i will just get some sticky heatsheild to cover my lines and still look tidy

Yeah i just had a ganda. Goin away ina few days so its top of the list for wen im back

Haha u wont guys, i will sort her out. Just wonderd how the others guys who remove this get around it :S

It's fine to remove it. Just get the gen2 heatshield form nimbus and put t it over the brake lines & wiring.
