Heavy Knocking on acceleration

I thought that fitting the Poweflex lower gearbox mount bushes would solve this but it hasn't.

Upon looking at my engine mounts today, it didn't look quite right. I swear there was something else in there between the rubber and the mount. Am I wrong?

Now as it has got worse over the last few days, I'm thinking maybe something has come out? Or am I just being a tit.

push the engine as far forward as ya can then tighten them.

towards the front of the car. there will of been some tension in the previous mount before it wore out and you will of just tightened it up where it rested.

Yep. Sometimes when ya mounts are worn it's a temp fix till ya change. What I did with my 172cup.

Ok cheers mate. Shall try tomorrow after work. Hopefully fixes until I can afford a new one
