Hello from Dubai (AGAIN)

Never got over selling the GW 200 (http://www.cliosport.net/index.php?threads/702923/) and the love/hate relationship with my ph1 meant that another 200 was in order...

Purposely avoided FF because the climate control is worthless here; good old 1-4 fan knob is miles better than my old 200. Never thought I'd like DB but the black on black thing turned out ace in the metal.

Over the moon obviously although I'm taking it easy because it's 50 degrees now in Dubai...

Also couldn't find the tires I wanted so went with a set of Conti SportContact 5 which are also ace but I wanted something stickier.

The ph1 will either be stripped if I can make that work (trailer, parking, cost) or the engine and F1s will go (no one interested here in anything else).

Very rare here Stu because people don't do manual or French built aircon

Straight line highways don't exactly lend itself to the Clios' strengths...

Also dealership are useless gits!

I've seen your brother's 200 on here Dan and I can't believe he managed to source a Cup spec in AD - they're strictly speaking not sanctioned for import (GCC standards thing).

My guy (Brian Phoenix Motorsports) went back to the UK before the summer and the search for a specialist garage is ongoing as we speak...

He got it from dubai actually from the dubizzle site, think it was off an English dude.

Lol - so true about the straight roads. That just go on and on!

But it's the heat that would be an issue for me. The weather over here is doing my head in at work as it is. The week I spent in Dubai was welcomed with 34C at 1.30am. Urgh......:wink:

Apologies mate, seems I've missed this from you all this time!

Not a ton of mods, just:

- tint (a must here)
- h&r coilovers on fresh oem mounts
- m-tech short shift kit
- contisport 5s

Want to:

- run more aggressive tyres (cup 2s or similar) on that braid fullrace R wheel that I'm in love with now (hoping 17×7 won't compromise grip too much)

- kteck induction kit (Chris rates it highly)

- upgrade the audio (although my OCD is getting in the way of that one as I can't find anything with the right shade of Renault Amber

But before spending any money on the above, she needs a full respray tbh because the exterior is looking very very tired now this is probably next month so will share the before and after

There's no one here ala ktec or demon or rstuning but I'm finding more and more good garages that know what they're doing (as opposed to Renault Dubai)

Hi all

The 200 and the Ph1 are both gone; enter the EDC:

Already miss the MK3 a lot but can't run more than one car right now and the EDC is a superior daily (the Juke aircon is night and day compared to the old one).

UV tint will go on shortly but other than that (and eventually decent tyres and spacers) will be keeping this one very low key.
