Help 197 doing my head in!!!

I have owned my clio 197 for a year and enjoyed 7 months of awesome motoring but then I noticed something strange my engine temp gauge moves between the first and second bars and
is not accurate I have had the thermostat done the temp sensor, I have had a new fan at 290 quid I nearly died.
and the cambelt has just being changed any ideas anyone

Quoting someone from Clio197.net who posted about this a few days ago, change the Thermostat to that from a 182 and replace the seal. Apparently it's not unusual for these to go.

Sounds like it could be a thermostat. Cheap & easy enough to change. I'd have done that before the fan tbh.

Yea I changed the stat before the fan and it didn't make it any better, will try the 182 crk thanks for ur advice

Was the water pump changed? Could be under performing
