HELP - car trouble

THE CAR

1.2 16v Extreme 23 months old 14700 miles. 17" wheels if that matters.

THE PROBLEM

Motion related sound that increases in pitch with speed coming from the front of the car. Its hard to descibe the sound other than a pretty annoying whine. MAY start off a little gravely at low speed building to a whine BUT I may well be imaginging that. THINK it has got louder over last few days. Its not engine related (I THINK) as it Revs cleanly without the sound.

Yeah nice answer but Id like some piece of mind really. It wont be in until next friday so is it ok to leave it?

Wont hurt to leave it a week really. Ive had them go on all three Clios that Ive had - including one that needs doing now! Should cost about £50-100.

all depends how loud it is but if youve only just really noticed it then it will be ok to leave for a week.bearings kits are about £35>£65 depending on where you get it from.

renault bearings do last longer.....trust me, and pressing it in correctly affects components life, ive had one last 4k, but i think that was bearing quality.

You can leave it for a week so long as it doesnt start to get ovely loud......one of m bearings went from a little annoying to banged up adn fooked in 160 miles in a single trip (my fault). Leave it too long and you can damage the carrier.

Its nothing too major to repair.
