help!! car wont start!

ive just finished replacing the manifolds and now my car wont start!

thing is, i had it running a few mins ago (without the exhaust attached to the manifold) and all ive done is reattach the exhaust

if i turn the key to the 3rd pos'm i can hear a few clicks and the fuel pump priming but the engine doesnt even try to start

any ideas?? :dapprove:

Inlet are exhaust ?

Im assuming your car is an RSi / RT 1.8 ?? The exhaust manifold is directly above the starter - have you disturbed any wiring ? put the car in 1st gear with the ignition off and roll it backwards and forwards - then jump in it and try to start it again - this will free the starter off if its stuck

you have knocked the starter solenoid wire, chanes are it was corroded and broke off the spade, so stick a new spade on.

Might be even luckier and the terminal broke off the starter so you need to solder it direct onto the starter.

or might have just knocked it off and just stick it back on.

ok, as i was reattaching the exhaust the car was jacked up on one side (OS) and supported by an axel stand.

Lower the car and it starts easily

jack it up again and no joy... wierd one
