apparently u can do it with the engine in, but when it comes to fitting the new clutch, its a bas**rd to get it straight cos of the angle ur working from. best to take the engine out. if u know what ur doing, it should take about 4 hours, but if uve not done one before, i'd allow 2 days just incase!
Give it to someone else.
It can be done with the engine in, iirc they just drop the subframe.
Find a decent renault specialist & get them to do it, it won't be more than £250 ish.
Places like mr clutch won't touch a valver (well not mine any way)
It can be done engine in. 8hrs Renault say and they get you to take the engine out.
Its a pain whicher way you do it most common way to do it is to move the subframe down as far as you can and pull the gearbox offand get in that way there not much space and it still takes a while when you know what your doing.
If your doing it yourself take the whole blooming thing out change all the belts and pumps check for rust and stick it back in.
Use a standard Renault one forget the uprated thingies there all a pain to use they are weeker, worse build quality and the stock one can take 200hp fine.
