Help! - Clio Not Starting

Hello,

I have never posted before but have gained lots of useful information off of the site in the past, thanks.

Anyway I am wondering if any of you guys can help me -my car is not starting for some reason. When i turn the key it sounds like there is no fuel being passed through - it turns over ok so i dont think it is the battery (only 2 years old).

I have seen other topics on here regarding other peoples cars not starting and wonder if there is anything I can do to start it to get it to a garage?

I have tried turning it on 2 notches and then turning it again once all the lights have gone out as this has worked in the past but it is not working now.

Thanks

My battery went and that was about 3 years. So your saying that it wont get to a state where it idles?

nah, it doesnt - It has been playing up a bit tbh but everytime i took it to the dealers they said that they were unable to look unless it doesnt start when it is there - now im stuck at home and cant get it to then!

The only way I can describe it is like I have run out of petrol, but I havent.

So the car turns over but doesnt start? I had this problem, might be your immobiliser!
Not you describe it like that I had the same problem.

I think it was the fuse for the immobiliser in the end although the dead cell in the battery didnt help.

The immobiliser light does go off, could it still be this?

With the help of my dad I have just pushed it to the top of the drive where it is level and it started first time? any other ideas? I think i will have a trip to my dealers tomorrow.

Thanks for your help

the engine was actually lower than the fuel tank, how was your problem resolved? - i will post what the dealers find out. Seems to be starting ok at the moment - fingers crossed for the morning.

Just had my car looked at at the dealers, they found that the TDC Sensor was faulty - this has now been replaced and seems to be working fine at the moment.
