help,clutch cable/pedal

:evil: my clutch cable snapped on saturday,i got a brandnew cable fitted it but i still could not change select gears,i was told by reno that when you change the clutch cable you also have to change the pedal,anyone had the same problem and if so is this true

Was it a proper renault cable or an oem jobbie ? Apparently the non renault ones are crap and cause problems like you've described and the generally snap again pretty quickly.
