Help...dash lights

Last night I was getting onto the highway and as I came round a tight bend in 2nd I booted it up the onramp...at this point the STOP and handbrake lights started flashing like there was a loose connection, so I lifted off immediately and they went off...Tried boothing it again and they didnt come on.

This happened once before when I was on the track, accelerating down the straight from a tight left hander which I also took in 2nd.

Any ideas? Could my brakes be loose? needing new pads? discs?

I find my Mk2 does the same thing under very hard cornering and when on a rolling road. It tends to be one or both of the rear wheels isnt moving. When corning that hard the inside rear has a tendancy to leave the road.

It could have been that?

Yeah, it did it when I had the car on the rolling road but the two most recent times were when I was accelerating hard in a straight line after a corner...

have you checked the brake fluid level?
