Help..Driving license question

Im goin for a van driving job where it says i need a category c1..?? do i have this with my license?? I drive a van now so i cant see a prob? anyone help??

Try having a look on your licence, should have some dates under cat 1. if not, you cant drive it.

how big is the van? what weight does it carry?

Depends when you took your test. I passed in 1994 so Ive got C1 (amongst others) but people who passed a few years later havent got as many options.

Best to check the back of your license.

Just to add C1 is a 7.5 tonner and C1e is the same with a trailer.

ive only got B,B1,f,k,p.........i take it a c1 is for vehicles up to vans??

Thats BS when you think about it, what makes someone who past in 1994 anymore capable of driving a 7.5 tonner????

i passed my test in april 98, and i drove the works 7.5 tonner............. untill they had a look at my licience and realised i wasnt supposed to be driving it! whoops! if you passed before 98 u can drive em.
