Help! Front seat wiring

I'm currently in the process of removing the front seats from my 172 cup and fitting the half leather seats.
Got the bolts undone no problem but just need some help with the wiring!
Do I just cut through the wires? And what do I need to connect back onto the new seats?

Yes you're going to have to cut through the wires, originally everything would have been on connectors. As for reconnecting, either going to have to solder them back together or use crimp on connectors, I personally like to solder everything (as they have done in first photo) but each to their own

I'm guessing disconnect battery before cutting ? And just cut off the plug from the new seats and solder wires together, but how do I know which colour wires from the car go to which wires on the seat?!

Definitely disconnect battery first and then follow wires back in their pairs so you know which to connect back up, off hand I can't remember which pair does what but if you follow them back all will become clear
