Help getting done by Adrian Flux

Just had my renewal quote come through, could have at least come with some lube! Double my premium from last year

Had a search on the net and seems I'm stuck with them as other companies will refuse to give a quote because of my pending claim from June 2009. Anyone else been in this situation?

Well from what I've read, companies will refuse to quote due to the outstanding claim. Will start phoning around anyway, got nothing to lose.

What makes it worse is that it's all over a little car parking scuff

CONFUSED.COM are always the best for me , beat everyone hands down , i had this with my courier insurance, had a accident with another van coming down the lanes and as i or the other driver arent accepting liability the insurance companies are battling it out , and my insurance went from £1500 a year to £2900 , you have got to remember that a lot of insurance companies pulled out of insuring certain cars or certain policies as they were getting ripped of left right and centre last year when the recession was in as everyone was claming for there cars as they couldnt afford to pay for them or were hard up for cash , hence why a lot of companies pulled out of certain policie's

You should be able to get other quotes with an outstanding claim dude, have you even tried calling other companies?

Adrian Flux are utter b*stards for this

I fell out with them a few years back for the same reason

They offer good prices for first year - then massive renewals hoping people wont notice and just auto renew.
EVERY year I had to sit and ring around getting quotes and then suddenly they would half their renewal. I refused to go with them because its a piss take

I use chris knott these days - just got my renewal through sub £500 for the 172 cup - exactly what I paid last year for it lol

Think most insurance companies do that, hike up the renewal as most people are to lazy to shop around.

Will start phoning around for some quotes later on and see how it goes.

i agree, they will always come in fairly cheap to begin but come renewal will up the premium somewhat. I had to ring them to say i've found it cheaper elsewhere at which point they'd lower it massively.
Also they will sting your ass when you change vehicles.

I was in the same boat with Adrian Flux. Come renewal they decided instead of going down in price mine would go up even though i was a year older with another years NCB!

When i shopped around and told them i had found it cheaper they didnt believe me and said they wanted step by step screenshots to prove i wasnt lieing. Told them to stick it and just went with the cheaper option instead

Well my claim is pending from June 2009, not heard anything from them. Didn't bother chasing them as there was no damage to my car, need to find out whats going on with it now though.

Flux are indeed crap - been trying to call them all afternoon and lines always busy!

Try skyinsurance, i read about them on some post on here, you get a cliosport discount and they beat my Adrian Flux price.

IIRC, when the claim is settled, your premium should go back down and you should get a refund as long as it was not your fault.

That's what I was thinking too.

My renewal is very soon with Adrian Flux, hope they don't try to quote me a stupid price too. Have been perfect so far.
