Help - Head Gasket

The head gasket on my L reg 93 clio has blown this morning.

Anyone know how much to get a new one and have it fitted?

the one on my corsa 1.4 16V blew before and that was £600 to replace but that was from vauxhall garage! stupid for a seal that cost bout £10!!!!

proberly bit less as older cars normally have simplier engines and are a lot eaier to work with!

300/400 from a back street garage but u really need 1 thats been recommended so u can name drop IMO.

Mine went a garage in Birmingham did the work for me, top notch job and 17,000 miles later still no loss of water!! They were cheap as well, dont know how much for the headgasket alone as I had the clutch, cambelt etc changed at the same time but even with all that labour was about £350, and that included a couple of new valves as they pressure tested and checked over the head.

Torsion Tuning would be a bit of a jouney they are near Chelmsford, but I suspect they would give you a good price.
