HELP: Headlight adjustment

My passenger side headlight is to high and won't adjust so I investigated further taking the adjuster off. With no force (literally just came straight out like this


Now I dont think the white part should have came out. All the clips are intact btw.

My question is... it possible to fit the white bit back in correctly with the headlight removed? or is it a lost cause /New light job?

Anyone tried this before?

The clip looks intact, so you should be able to put it back on, will be easier with the headlight removed.
