help! insurance

Hi what are good companies to get qoutes from for a 23 yr old, no ncb, on a 172.
My insurance is being renewed nx week and as im now the main driver its going in my name.
My cheapest qoute is £1400 from elephant.
Im sick of giving all my details which takes ages then told they wont insure me!

Has your car got an alarm...has it got locking wheel nuts? Where did you buy the car from?

No locking wheel nuts just locking nut caps. I believe it just has an immobiliser.

Ring Renault Uk they will tell you if its an import.
You can usually tell as imports don't have etced glass.
Tesco usually very competitive.
Unfortunatly for the best quote you have to ring loads of places.

www.confused.com although this often doesn't give the best prices, it will atleast give you a list of insurers that will quote for you.

Taken out a policy with elephant for £1126 (10 mnth bonus accellerater) after phoning them. Pretty good i think as im 23 with 0 ncb.

I had an absolute nightmare getting quotes from loads of companies as my registration wasnt coming up on their computers and when i said year of manufacture was 2004 all they could find was the 182!

Why are most people you speak to absolute **** heads that jus give you attitude? Does anyone else get this?

First guy i spoke to at elephant was arguing with me for ages because bell was the same company and they gave me a different qoute number for elephant than i had got off the website but it was the same qoute on their database but it was cheaper than the one i had on the website! All very confusing!

And most of the other companies spoke to me like sh*t! Ever heard of costomer service guys! Your supposed to want our money!

Anyway thanks to chris at elephant the guy i spoke to when i rung back for the final time! Sorted guy with no attitude and very helpfull!

Glad its all sorted as my blood pressure's through the roof!

Im off to kneck some valium!
