HELP, LED conversion on ALL signals bulbs

  Megane Coupe III 1.9
HI All,

I have a wiring diagram question. I hope I'm not breaking any forums rules. I need to know which wires are what for the front and read wiring assembly, so I can add the resistors on for my LED bulbs. They all work fine but flash to fast, so the company sent me resistors. Turns out that the new renaults hqave all the bulbs routed through one connector, and from there comes about 5-6 wires :-s I dont know which one to route it too.

Lastly to mention, this is a Megane III 2010 Coupe. I hope it's ok to ask this question here casue the guys on the megane forum do not seem to know squat about it, lol.

Any help would be much appreaciated. :)

I am replacing the Brake Lights and the turn signals. The daytime running lights are already working correctly. The clip looks pretty standard, its a 5-6 pin clip, with different colour wires running through it, but it looks like the bulbs are plugged into the socket, the socket it attached to the actual light housing, and behind that are these small metal plates running between all the sockets on the light housing. And those go to the clip connection :-s I remember when cars had simple wires, lol. I hope this helps to give more insite, thanks man.

HI thanks, how will I know? Is there different currents running through the brake lights, turnn signals, and the reverse lights? Sorry I know nothing about electrical :-s and I do not want to mess up my computer. Thanks again in advance.

Thanks mate, yes this is why I'm asking before I touch it :p OK I'not totally useless, lol, it's just that I never saw a set up like this before...but I've also never owned a french car before either :D I went to the dealer today, and asked them for a print out of the schematics for these circuits. I'm happy to share them once I receive it, if someone call help me as well. :)

I guess one of the main questions too is, if the brake, signal and reverse lights are all being routed through the same connector, then wouldn't it make sense that you only need one resistor for the entire cluster? This means four in total, one front left, one front right, one back left, one back right...or am I just thinking way too simple here??

Thanks.

firstly you will need a multimeter

then disconect the plug from the light fitting, with the ignition on turn your hazard warning lights on, ensuring that you are testing across paired terminals (you can tell this as the wires running into the back of the plug will be similar colours 'usually') keep checking the various pairs untill you come across an intermitant reading, ie it will flash up with a voltage, then drop off repeatidly.

now you know which is the indicator circuit ;)
