tryuin to put my kenwood head unit in my mk 2 clio but been there the last hour tryin to figur out whicj wire goes to wich wire i dont have any clips was just gona soilder them please help

i think its a bad earth or summit soo was thinkin about wirein the herad unit straight to the battery n havin a consant feed wud tht b sdafe though?

It would probably drain your battery....I had a kenwood a few months ago and all the connectors just went in to the back of the head unit fine!

no it was a second hand radio but works coz i had it in my car b4 n then i tried to solder it in but it wont work... i have all the right wires but connected up still dont do any thin so was thinkin of wirein it straight up to the battery dunno if its safe though

yer the old connectors have cum out of it got the usall blooks a black wre,red yellow,green n white stipped, orangle n wite stripped, purple , purple and white stipped, orange green, think thats it......

think is earth but the yellow and red are earth but dunno whicj 1s they connect to aint 1 of they for the ignition?

Do you still have the Plastic Block connectors on the renault loom that would go to the radio or have you cut them off ?

Do the Kenwood wires come directly out of the back of the radio or do they clip in

right the wires clip in to the back of the kenwood head unit, n the connectors from the clio have been cut off aswell got it with no head unit in

just looking at the guides this bit seems a little odd

Brown connection (C)
Track 1 + rear right speakerl
Track 2 - rear right speaker
Track 3 + rear right speakerl
Track 4 - rear right speaker
Track 5 + front left speaker
Track 6 - front left speaker
Track 7 + front left speaker
Track 8 - front left speaker

Shouldnt they be front right rear right etc? Not all rear right and all front left.

black is earth. yellow is ignition. red is bat+. the other cables are for speakers

just before you do, dont cut the Kenwood loom

not only will that cable give you more cable length to work with, it means once you have it wired up fitting somethin else will be a LOT easier !

oh, and im not sure if yours is the same, but from what i remember from tonight.......on the right hand side, the pale yellowy wire is +, and the orange wire is -, and on the left the purple is + and the pale wire is -

but, yours might be diff
