How much have you got to spend?
Personanly I'd spend the the suspension and brakes first engine powr isn't very cost effective.

  1.6 Astra ... R.I.P. 182
also maybe want to speak to yozza sport ? their cars sound the mutts nuts.

  2005 Nissan Navara
theres only one person out of that lot i would trust, and im in the same game, and thats Ben (AWT).

  Audi A6 (S3 on order)
oh better be careful what I say .... if it doesn't meet a certain someones approval then it will be pruned.

I'm batting along side the rest of the yozzasport/AWT gheys. (Shed and Hillpower are decent)

Wouldn't Touch the others on here. I've seen some of their handy work.........

Just to put things in perspective when comparing these companies.
These are my views from what I have been told/have experience with/see on the forum etc.. Alot of the time people just spout names out and have no idea whther the company is good or bad or what it specialises in.

Starting with the best...........

AWT(BenR) - He designs parts, builds engines, gas flows, understands the real science behind an engine. If you have read some of his posts you will know what I mean ;). He has always had time for a chat and willing to explain things. To back this up I have his cams and inlet manifold and a sticker on my car! He has also set up the geometry on my car using a hand held gauge on an old concrete floor which when it was put on Northampton Motorsports laser alignment the camber was less then 0.02 out!

GDI who I have had most of my work done. Andy is a really nice guy and has always given me plenty of time. My car is getting there but its been 6months+.....

BBPT I have no experience of whatsoever so wont comment.

KTEC sell bits and kits FULL STOP.

YOZZASPORT Fred and Yozza are very helpful and have both answered my Qs through PMs etc. some quite detailed that have taken some time to write. They sell bits and Lohen do there engines/setup (I think). I stand corrected PM'd by Yozza
"Our workshop facility is outsourced - We have clio cup racer experienced mechanics and , but it is a fully prepped race workshop with full design, CNC, engine, welding, set-up and everything else on hand."

Shed nice to see someone new getting some quality bits sorted. Again they sell bits.

Stan* someone new again who I dont know much about so wont comment.

Hill Power seems to have a good rep has his own RR, maps the standard ECU. He never comes on the forum though and I dont know much about him or his work.

Mark Fish more of a suspension race car prep (cages) not into engines at all.

But the others do there own work and not outsource it,
How do you do tuning? What parts do you build yourselves?

or are you the middle men who stick the stickers on parts?

GDi/AWT all the way, 'proper', 'decent' tuners are like gold dust, loads of wannabe's out there who dont have a clue.

  53 Clio's & counting
reason y im suggestin hill power is my old clio with the basic breathin mods and a stripped interior got down to 14.1 @ 98 at the pod and ran 14.2 all day long, that engine was biult by nick and has had 35000 miles of flat out driving and never missed a beat, and its one of the only hybrids i know of that can hit the limiter in 5thlat like its hittin the limiter in 3rd lol
oh and last time i checked nick still did all the work himself,so he quiye a busy bloke lol

give nick a ring and have a chat 01530 273633

all these companies are spot on tho mate so its down to personal choice
