Help, my xenons are dead!!!

Just wondered if anyone has had this problem before and what is was?
I was driving in london last night for about an hour, then when i was sitting in traffic the xenons just went off! All the other lights work and so do the autolights, but only the sidelights come on. I have even turned the autolights off and on again with the stalk ignition key combination!
Any advice would be great as i was planning to p/x the car this week at a dealer and would like to sort it out before then.

I had the exact opposite happen,
All the lights in the car went out other than the Xenons.

The fault turned out to be an intermittant fault with the lighting relay.
Might be worth checking out....

passengers footwell, underneath the dash...

look under and see if one of the wee black fuse box thingmys is hanging out...

sometimes it can get knocked out by the passengers feet..

exact thing happened to me, thot id have a hefty bill, but turns out the box had been kicked by my FAT friend

just make sure the handover is in the daylight, doubt they will check the headlights work, it would be a given

Have they got damp, sometimes water in the balast part can stop them starting up.

one of my xenons died on my 197...... its currently have the wiring loom replaced :S though I doubt it will be as bad as that! As said probably something simple.

Thanks for the help guys, it was the little relay box in the footwell it had died, got a replacement from my local dealer, thank god for that.... While i was there i finally got a proper look at a 197 r27 in liquid yellow. I am really tempted to upgrade to one now, love the fact that it has brembo's, recaro's and a six speed box now and i think with a little lowering they look super wide and agressive.
Has anyone gone from a 182-197 here and was it worth it?

There no answer its up to you best test and se if you can justify it to yourself.
