Help needed for 2002 172 cup

Good Morning,

Im expeirencing some troubles with my 172 cup.

It has gone through 2 fully charged batteries in about 3 weeks, some say its the alternator and others the starter motor, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? and if so what was the cause?
