Make sure the cambelt has been done, and when coz it might be due again, check the pas works, check for play in the steering colum. that kinda milage get underneith and look at the sills for holes or welding damage... ect all the lights work just general wear and tear. damage ect.

Hey, Rear Arches are a common prob...fronts are plastic so no worries there.

They can be expensive cars to run, so the more parts that have been replaced the better. Cam belt should av been done at around 70k. Clutch should have been done, if it hasn't allow a few hundred quid to do just the clutch....£200ish

Ummmmm gearbox's can be weak, but think it depends on how they are treated. mine is just about on 100k and feels fine to me.

A common prob, but cheap/easy fix is the dog bone engine mount....test this by accelerating hard in 2nd and taking your feet of the peddle, if it is faulty the gear stick will move dramatically and can pop out of gear...can be fixed for under £40 for a Renault part and about 30mins of someone's time.
Can also rust on the sills and the bottom of the boot lid, almost all valver sunroofs leak.

A bit to go on their, all valver specific, so apart from that it is the same rules as buying any s/hand car...........when you turn up feel the bonnet to see if its hot, the owner may have got it warmed up if there are cold start problems.
General condition is important, if there are lots of broken missing things (bulbs, switches. ect) it may give you a idea to other probs the owner has overlooked.
Then just a good general look around.

Wanna c pics if you buy it.;)

Good luck:D
