help needed :(

  clio mk1
hi all, just went to play football on a massive field and bassicly lost my keys :( its the only set I have for my valver and I looked for them for hours but no look...

Im thinking the only way of getting it back is to brake into it and tow it home but then Id have to snap the stearing lock and my friend says its not easy and will probably wreck the stearing column...

Does anyone have any ideas? becuase I dont really want to leave it overnight becuase its not in a good area and is the only car left in a carpark so i dont fancy the chances it will probably get set on fire

Any help appreciated :(

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
RAC or AA as mentioned.

Or get a load of friends to come give you a hand to look for them!!

Must have kept it contained to a single area while playing? Unless u lost them somewhere in the day?

my AA cover ran out and when i rang them they said all they could do is point me to an ignition service which costs alot so thats a bit pointless,

I dont mind bending or breaking the passanger door becuase I was going to replace it anyway becuase the paint is so chipped...

Im going to try and get into it soon and try snapping the stearing lock? anyone know how easy this is to do? or if its not worth doing, cheers

av u got into it yet mate? was gna say iv got a spare passenger side back window in me garage so smash that an ill give u my spare!. Not a clue how ur gna get it going though tbh mate, if its such a bad area just find the biggest group of lads u can an im sure someone can hotwire it for u lol

OK get the door open then drill out the locking pin from the barrel lock to the stearing column so the wheel will turn without issue.

Then to remove the barrel lock drill out the pin which holds the barrel lock in positon (you need the key otherwise to remove the barrel lock to change so drilling the locking pin means you don't) get a haynes when you get your new set of locks for the doors etc (stuff from a 1.2 etc fits just get all the locks and swap the lot easier that way (don't forget fuel cap one as well) and yo'll see how the lcokw roks might need a Haynes to help you.
